PariTales

Child Safety

Last updated June 22, 2026

PariTales exists to make comics that are safe, kind, and age-appropriate for children aged 4–12. Safety isn’t a feature we added — it’s the whole point. This page explains the rules we enforce and how we enforce them.

This is AI-generated content

Every story and illustration is created by AI from the idea you type. AI is powerful but not perfect. We layer multiple safety checks around it, and we ask that an adult reviews comics before sharing them with a child — just as you would any new book.

What we never allow

  • No violence, weapons, blood, gore, or frightening peril.
  • No horror, scary monsters, or content meant to disturb.
  • No NSFW, romance beyond friendship, drugs, or alcohol.
  • No politics, hate, or discriminatory content.
  • No real people, celebrities, brands, or copyrighted characters.
  • No real-person likeness — characters are always original inventions.

How we enforce it

  • Before any AI runs: your idea is screened against a safety filter (including common obfuscations). Unsafe ideas are declined immediately.
  • During generation: the AI is instructed with strict, non-negotiable rules and must return its own safety verdict; unsafe stories are blocked.
  • Before any picture is drawn: the AI’s own scene descriptions are re-screened, so an unsafe scene never reaches the illustrator.
  • After images are made: generated art is validated, and an optional visual moderation check can block anything that slips through before it’s ever shown.
  • Every comic teaches one positive lesson — kindness, curiosity, sharing, courage, and the like.

Parent-first by design

  • Accounts are created and managed by an adult.
  • We never show third-party ads to children.
  • We collect no personal information from children.
  • You can delete any comic, or your whole account, at any time.
